1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClassMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. ClassMate is intended for use by verified university students only.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a currently enrolled student at an accredited university with a valid .edu email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use ClassMate responsibly and not to:
- Post misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive listings.
- Sell prohibited items including illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, or items that violate university policies.
- Harass, threaten, or behave inappropriately toward other users.
- Attempt to circumvent the .edu verification process or create fake accounts.
- Use the platform for spam, scams, or any form of unauthorized solicitation.
4. Listings & Transactions
ClassMate provides a platform for students to connect for buying and selling. We are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions are conducted directly between the buyer and seller. ClassMate is not responsible for the quality, legality, or safety of items listed.
5. Intellectual Property
The ClassMate name, logo, and all related branding are our intellectual property. Content you post (listings, photos) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform.
6. Limitation of Liability
ClassMate is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to disputes between buyers and sellers, lost items, or inaccurate listings.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.
