ClassMate is exclusively for verified university students. You'll need a valid .edu email address to create an account, ensuring a trusted, student-only community.
Yes! ClassMate is completely free to use. There are no listing fees, no transaction fees, and no hidden costs. We believe students shouldn't have to pay to buy and sell within their own community.
ClassMate supports peer-to-peer payments through Venmo. You can link your Venmo account in settings for seamless transactions. We don't process payments directly — you and the seller agree on a method that works for both of you.
Since every user is a verified student at your university, you're always dealing with fellow classmates. We recommend meeting in public campus locations like the student center or library. All users have profiles tied to their .edu identity.
You can sell textbooks, electronics, furniture, clothing, event tickets, services, and more. We have dedicated categories to help buyers find exactly what they're looking for. Prohibited items include anything illegal, dangerous, or that violates university policies.
